Microblading or Micro Shading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that allows to dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrows. This is the refined technique of manually depositing small and precisely placed, molecules of the pigment directly into the Dermis layer of the skin with a specialized pen, it does not involve the use of a machine.

Unlike permanent makeup brow treatments, the  microblading technique involves drawing individual crisp hair strokes that are more natural-looking. The blade of the microblading pen is 3 times thinner than the needles used for the machine technique.

When performed correctly, the procedure is almost painless, numbing solution and anesthetic are used to limit discomfort. This procedure is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are the most natural-looking hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present.

The pigments used in this method have been specially formulated to match your original eyebrow color and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into them.

Microblading is considered a two-part process the initial procedure followed by a touch-up procedure 4-6 weeks.

Initially, the brows appear darker but will go lighter significantly the first week making them look very natural. It is absolutely crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment. During your touch up the technician will apply color on lighter hairs or making a fuller look adding more hairs or just achieve a darker color if needed. Awesome fact:

Before MICROBLADING or Micro Shading appointment:

Avoid caffeine the day of your appointment

• If you have any photos please feel free to bring these to your appointment

• Do not thread/wax/tweeze your brows 24 hrs prior to your appointment. Your specialist will shape your brows for you during your appointment

• Do not work out the day of your appointment

• You cannot take any medications that can thin your blood (i.e. Aspirin, Ibuprofen, fish oil, Vitamin E) 48 hrs before your procedure

• Stop using Retinol Products 72 hrs prior to your appointment

• Do not drink alcohol for at least 48 hours before your procedure

•  NO Botox/filler in the Brow area. We recommend getting Microblading first!  

Doing any of the above may cause bleeding, which will affect how well your body retains pigment.

BEFORE MICROBLADING PROCEDURE

* Electrolysis should not be done for 10 days prior.

*Botox near eyebrows should not be done within 6 weeks before the procedure.
*You can bring a picture to show us the shape. (optional)

* If you know the shape you desire you can pencil them yourself before your appointment and the technician will check the symmetry.

*No alcohol 24hrs. before your appointment.

*Stop taking  Vitamins or Omega 3's 7-10 days prior (ask a doctor if prescribed) to prevent blood thinning and may affect anesthetic efficacy. Resume after 3 days.

AFTER MICROBLADING PROCEDURES                                                              *Scheduling your Touch up appointment recommended with in 4 to 6 weeks.

*Avoid going to swimming, beach, tanning, hot baths, jacuzzi and sweating

10 days after the procedure.

*Avoid chemical treatments and Retin-A or Glycolic Acid on face 15 days after.

*Avoid Picking or rubbing on eyebrows and sleep on your back in order to avoid removal of the pigment.

*During the shower keep your face away from the shower head and apply a layer of your vitamin post-care before and after a shower.

*It might appear dark immediately after. This is because the pigment is still sitting on the top of your skin but will lighten within a week or so and the color will eventually be 30 to 40% lighter looking natural.

*You will need to avoid water around the eyebrows in 48hrs after the procedure.
